Sports Radio 850, which is said – and 620 Wrbz Bull – ESPN Radio re-sign Carolina Hurricanes Nhl Hall of Fame Voice – Chuck Kaiton
RALEIGH, NC – October 2, 2008 – 850 Sports Radio is said – and 620 WRBZ The Bull – ESPN Radio have renewed an agreement with the Hall of Fame voice of the radio play-by-play of the Hurricanes Carolina, Chuck Kaiton, to provide insight and feedback for the 2008/2009 season in the NHL.
Kaiton will be heard for 850 which says "Stormfront" pre-game program before the hurricanes every home game for Carolina. In addition, will join Adam Gold and Joe weekday morning after Ovies Carolina Hurricanes Thurs of

About Chuck Kaiton:
Chuck Kaiton was the franchise of the hurricanes' as the voice of the radio play-by-play as the team joined the NHL in 1979. Hall of Fame announced May 28, 2004, who had been named winner Kaiton 2004 Foster Hewitt Award, presented annually to broadcasters National Hockey League contributions salient to their profession during their careers. Kaiton became the 26th broadcaster in NHL history to receive the distinction since the Hall of Fame began recognizing broadcasters in 1984. Received the following awards Hall of Fame induction ceremonies Hockey Toronto 8 November 2004.
Besides his work with the team, Kaiton has served as president of the Association of Broadcasters in recent NHL 21 years (1986-2007). A graduate of the University of Michigan, Kaiton began his broadcasting career in 1969 announcing Wolverine sports. In 1975, began covering the University Wisconsin sports teams and was named Athlete of Wisconsin in 1979.
